Wow… I really am writing my very first blog post. At first I thought about writing as “we”, since this is going to be a family blog. But then I thought that, as I am the one writing the posts, I could use “I” too.

All right, here goes… my name is Susann, but everyone calls me Susi. I am 28 and live in Schönebeck on the Elbe, a small town in Saxony-Anhalt.

I met and fell in love with my husband Ralf in May 2011. He was born in Dresden, grew up in Radebeul, lived in Zerbst and Dessau, and has now settled in Schönebeck.

We met in the thoroughly modern way: online. At first I was very reserved and did not really want a relationship, as I was newly single and just starting to enjoy my freedom. But he fought for me like a lion… and eventually won my heart. His love for me is sincere and honest. He was in the right place at the right time.

I soon knew that he was the one: the man I wanted everything with. Marriage, children, a home… and then things happened one after another. Our son Felix was born on 22 May 2013, a very much wanted baby. In August 2014, he proposed, and we began preparing for our wedding. Shortly before the wedding, I had a positive pregnancy test in my hand. We were so happy. On 25 July 2015, we said “I do” at Gommern’s moated castle and have been husband and wife ever since. Our happiness was completed by the birth of our daughter Lena on 7 March 2016.

All that is missing now is our own little house. We do not have it yet, but the project is definitely being planned.
